Seriously I got this app back in 2010 or something and have since bought a new macbook and really can’t use my computer without this. 10/10 would buy again.

does basic snapping really well but would love to be able to snap to corners.. say top left or bottom right.. The App called Better snap tool allows just that and costs only 2$
Wow! My friend showed me better snap, costs a third of the price and has 10x more features! Would not recommend this app to anyone anymore, need to add more features to keep up with the competition
I had an issue with the app (due to an App Store security certificate issue) - Cinch support promptly explained the issue to my satisfaction.
I was surpised at how fast this guy response to email support. I like the app and recommended this to everyone of my friends. e
I’ve been using Cinch for a few years now. I thought the window resizing feature in El Capitan would make Cinch obsolete - but nope - Cinch is still the far more intuitive implementation of window seizing/alignment. Apple’s version is overthought and crappy. Cinch does one thing great - and its amazing how such a simple app can prove to be so useful over time. Simplicity takes a lot of work and Cinch is an example of that.
I honestly cannot find anything that justifies the price for such a simple app with limited options. BetterSnap Tool is way cheaper (less than a third of the price) and offers a lot more customization and settings. I knew about BetterSnap before I bought this app.
Do you plan to update the app, to make it run smoother?? Like in Windows 7.
similar to the implementation of the transfer to the edge of the screen on Windows. Supports multiple monitors (I have 3)
please correct this. it shows as enabled in the status bar, but after a while it just stops working and i have to close it completely and run it again.. its annoying, with this error this app is not worth $7.
Thanks for the update for El Capitan. Keep up the great work!
This app is subpar for the price. I ended up buying Better Snap for half the cost and 10x the features.
Use to work as expected, but it seems the developer is not keep it up to date.
A great app, but it’s in need of some updates.. While resizing windows like Firefox, I have to hold the top right or left of the window, I can’t hold it in the center for it to resize, it’s just some bug that’s quite annoying and has finally urged me to write this review. I’ve also since seen apps that offer this feature for $1 compared to the overpriced $7 of this buggy app. I hate to spend another $1 after spendign $7 for this, but looks like I might have to. This app is old and doesn’t seem to offer any further updates so I will no longer recommend it.
Apple frusterates me to no end sometimes. They have the ability to make a platform so customizable but choose not to! I have been both a mac and PC user for years and would have to go back and forth ofter. With Vista/Windows 7 we got the features that windows 7 brings to the mac! T To this day I hate the way Apple doesnt offer a feature like this. Sure, creating “desktop” spaces are cool but sometimes you just need to split the screen! No time for hastle! No time for Full Screen (Which honestly causes errors in programs and makes multitasking more annoying). While not perfect, Cinch brings some common sense back to the Mac platform. Until Mac wises up and cuts the gimmics and realizes we all have different wants and needs Cinch is your best bet!
I’m a professional graphics monkey and Cinch has improved my workflow by a lot. Being able to quickly snap things to halves of my screen and adjusting to reach source materials behind, saves me so much time. Yes, the price seems a little steep at first but it’s well worth it, IMHO.
I have always loved this app, but it has a major flaw that I just recently noticed—it causes my macbook pro to require high performance GPU. You can check in Activity Monitor for yourself. This causes your battery to drain much faster than using the integrated graphics. The developers should definitely fix this as I will no longer be running the app until this is fixed.
I literally have never reviewed an app before... But this app is worth it. First, I want to thank the developer who upkeeps this app for me to use all the time on every version of OS X. Its amazing. Now as for the functionality, it works flawlessly every time. Snap a window left, right, or full screen. So intuitive. If youre used to Windows and the ability to snap, this app is for you. Easily organize windows on your screen. Its awesome. Thats about it. I dont know why you are still reading this. BUY IT ALREADY. K thnx bye.
I had the trial version for a while, but decided to buy the full version because the developers deserve compensation for such a useful app. I downloaded the trial from their website and then bought the full version on the App Store. It didnt work at first but the Irradiated Software website had troubleshooting for this exact problem and it works great as always. Totally worth it.
Ask the Developer if he had plans to add corners to scale windows to 1/4 of the screen. Not only did he reponse within 10 minutes of my email, he already has it in the app as a hidden terminal command. So far works really well. Thank you again.
